In the Great Wilderness, humans, gods and demons live together, and the three kingdoms of Xiyan, Chenrong and Haoling are in power. The king of Haoling, Ji Jiuyao (Xiaoyao) (played by Yang Zi), who has been living in the Great Wilderness for a hundred years, has not only lost his identity, but also his looks, and has settled down in the town of Qingshui, becoming Min Xiaoliu, who has "nowhere to go, no one to rely on, and no way to protect himself". He hangs a kettle for a living and is free-spirited and uninhibited. His childhood friend, King of the Western Yan, Sun Dingying (played by Zhang Evening Yi), goes to the Haoling Kingdom as a hostage, and even though he is living under a false roof, he travels all over the Great Wilderness in search of Xiaoyao and comes to the town of Qingshui. The days in Qing Shui Town are quiet and warm, Min Xiao Liu accidentally saved the dying Qing Qiu Prince Tushan Jing (played by Deng Wei), and the two of them grew to love each other; Min Xiao Liu and the nine-headed demon Xiangliu (played by Sandalwood Jianzhi) do not fight, and sympathize with each other as confidants. After a few twists and turns, she finally recognizes the tinkling of gems and regains her identity as a royal concubine.
